the month in review...

last month was busy and intense, and this month is looking even more intense. i'll be out of town more days than in... but when i'm here i expect to be extremely productive. i need to plan my 29th birthday party and get ready for my second burning man!

sprint 8 - gel transfers on my window (still in sf)

it would've been nice to have gotten this a bit more transparent. i think there's still some paper stuck to the gel. interesting mixed-media direction... might try this again at night (too much light in my apartment at 6:45pm. incredible)

sprint 8 - will take place in new york

dear readers (all three of you), i've been busy getting ready for my trip to new york. i've packed image transfer materials (minus the gels and solvents - you can't take those on a plane) and a few sewing books... but what's really calling me right now is music. perhaps this will turn into a songwriting sprint blog for the next 2 weeks? stay tuned... i have plenty of music debt to pay down.

in the meantime, enjoy an image transfer of a cat giving another cat a massage.

sprint 7 - image transfers part II

i really like the idea of transferring technical illustrations onto fabric.

[placeholder]

i'm going to make a "back burner bulletin board" so that i can put things that are weighing me down, holding me up, or stressing me out on it. one for home, one for work!

not a sprint, but...

then again it's not a good idea to go to sleep immediately after having filed sliver upon sliver of carrot cake (a.k.a. the current bane of my existence) directly from the bottom shelf of the refrigerator into my mouth.
so, what happens? i left zeitgeist at 7:45 and drunkenly stumbled to 8:15 yoga. my practice was surprisingly strong, though i felt a bit wobbly during the balancing series. karaoke didn't happen. the last 2 hours have been quite wasteful, though i did manage to locate a picture of a guy i knew from summer camp who shares the same name as my manager's manager. i really need to find (or start) a band.

sprint 6 - amy winehouse rocks...

...as compared to she who spent her monday night making sections of a page expand, collapse, fade in, fade out...

(i did make it to bikram, though)
